On 21 February 2017: Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) Net Sold – INR 1435.76 Crores and Domestic Institutional Investors (DII) Net Bought – INR 1535.44 Crores.
The Nifty was in a consolidation mode in the first half of the session but pick up speed towards the end of the session. As a result, it crossed 8900 on a closing basis. This continues to be the key level to watch on the positive aspect. The levels of 8930 coincide with a crucial diminishing trend line from the previous swing high. One time 8930 is breached on a closing basis, the Nifty will be set to test the unprecedented high level of 9110. The upper end of the medium-term intensifying channel is also around the same level. On the flick side, 8860 and 8800 will act as crucial supports from a short-range perspective. Short-range setback can be maintained below the swing low of 8700.
In the daily chart the index is trading above the Twenty-day moving averages (DMA) and the Forty-DMA, ie 8736 and 8581 respectively. The thrust indicator is trading in bearish sort on the daily chart
In the hourly chart, Nifty is trading in above the Twenty-hourly moving averages (HMA) and the Forty-HMA, ie 8851 and 8824 correspondingly, the hourly impetus indicator encompass turned bearish.
The market duration was turned positive with 915 advances and 699 declines, Unchanged 97 Total Issue 1711 on the National Stock Exchange.
